Eligibility for admission

A degree in any subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks.

A weightage of 5 marks is given for each Psychology paper studied in any graduate or postgraduate degree you hold, up to a maximum of 40 marks.

Selection procedure

Each college prepares a rank list by adding:

  1. Percentage of marks in the basic degree – Part III total percentage
  2. Psychology weightage – 5 marks per paper, maximum 40
  3. Marks in the entrance test and interview conducted by the college (out of 100)

If the mark list / grade card does not show Part III marks separately, the overall aggregate percentage of the qualifying degree is used for eligibility and ranking.

Seats and reservation

Seats are allotted according to the reservation rules. Open Quota (Merit) seats are filled first from the full rank list; community quotas are then filled from the remaining candidates of each community. EWS and PwBD seats are over and above the intake. Vacant SC and ST seats are interchanged; seats still vacant after re-notification go to OEC, then SEBC, then General merit.
